Love of great music and art, and passion for service bring together a community of volunteers dedicated to planning, building and carrying out the Shambhala Festival.
The application for full-time volunteers is not yet open. Please check back in this space, and/or see our social media announcements.
There are two types of volunteers: full-time staff and part-time staff.
Full-time staff work together to co-create the festival, starting from setting up and concluding with dismantling and packing up, except on February 2nd, which is everyone's day off.
Various teams and departments are involved, with volunteers coming from diverse locations around the globe. We not only work together but also share meals. Please let us know when you apply if you prefer a type of work or want to work in a specific team, although we may not be able to accommodate everyone's preference.
Full-time staff benefits include:
Free shuttle bus (songthaew) to the Shambhala venue for setup. The date to be announced (More or less one week before the festival's opening day)
Free shuttle bus to Chiang Mai after packing up. The date to be announced. (More or less 4 days after the festival ends)
Festival admission ticket
Three daily vegetarian meals, plus two drink vouchers (beer or juice) per day during the working period.
Part-time staff work during the festival period between January 28 and February 7 as few or as many days as they are available based on our needs. Part-time staff must buy their festival entry tickets, but we will give you food on the day(s) you work. Part-time staff are accepted on a first come first serve basis at the INFORMATION DESK during the festival period. You don't need to make an application. Please do not email us.
